Each edition, FIF holds an international exhibition based on the works of artists who submit proposals through its open call for atists.
The Festival has already received about 3,900 entries from artists, from more than 80 countries, interested in participating in its international exhibition. A total of 96 artists from 42 countries were selected, representing 05 continents, have exhibited their works in Belo Horionzonte, FIF’s host city.
The exhibitions held in the 2013, 2015 and 2017 editions occupied different spaces in the city, such as cultural centers, museums, parks and subway stations, with around 700 photographic works printed and projected on video, visited by more than 2 million people.
FIF has also taken its exhibitions to important cultural spaces in the cities of São Paulo, Brasília, Ipatinga and Tiradentes.
This entire selection of artists and works that were part of the Festival represents a significant space for reflection and research on contemporary image production.
